On is a movement "studder" issue
Fixed for next version :)

and the other an attack issue
Paralyzers are supposed to not autotarget things that are at (or near) max paralysis-time.  I can consider adding a toggle which lets you suppress this, but it's not a bug.

I don't know that a toggle is needed.  In any case, I wouldn't want them to target near-max paralyzed targets unless their are no other valid targets for them.

In general the idea is not to try to actually kill stuff with the nanoswarms.  Just send in some fighters as mercykillers or whatever ;)

I was actually thinking of Zenith Paralyzers.  If they sat there and didn't attack because of the paralysis timer, that would feel odd to me.  The Nanoswarms in specific acting how they do it probably fine.

10967: AI units sometimes not moving into attack range
In both saves, when I load them, the AI units who want to attack your bomber starship(s) have move orders to a wormhole and in the process of that pick the bomber starship as a target, so they:
1) Proceed to the wormhole.
2) When they get there, there's not enough firepower to actually go after your homeworld (that's where said wormhole goes), so they set it as a wait point
3) Now that they've just got it as a wait point, they go back after your bomber starship, and do in fact close to firing range and open fire.

So my guess is that there was something preventing the wormhole orders from working right in the past and that was fixed since then.  Do you have a case that reproduces in the latest version?

Did you move the bomber starship back out of range after #3 happened? When I tried it, the PSS did not follow, but just sat there.

2577: AI wave ships attacked and now they won't move and all issues marked as related to it
Looking at the issue description there appears to be some confusion about whether either of the saves actually reproduces the problem.  Does either of them?

I think it was the older save that had it.

Also, some of the linked "duplicates" may have saves as well.

my current nagging mapgen bugs of the moment is summed up here:http://arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=11091 The +lvl guardposts have already been mentioned, but i'm also pretty sure that Spireling AIs aren't supposed to have 3 Mk IV counterattack posts full of Blade Spawners and other Fun Things 2 jumps from my HW, Diff 8 or no. The NCB, while apparently quite behaved in the guard post department, could probably stand to have the HP on its clusters buffed a bit, as even a moderate sized attack force could blow one away before the inhabitants could do anything to discourage it.

(apologies for posting this in the wrong thread in the first place.)

Probably the biggest thing for my gaming group would be the ability to select any planet in map selection and then choose our desired bonus ship (or multiple ships if choosing multiple homeworlds). Any chance of this?

Doubtful. See Why Does The Game Force Variety On The Player?

However, the idea of a "seed gen search" has been raised in the past.

I understand it is how it was built, but all 4 guys in our group would buy an expansion that only had the ability to choose what bonus ships we want without rerolling maps forever and deactivate counterattack posts. Seriously, these things just make us waste 5-10 minutes of our time and irritate us without posing any challenge anymore.

I hope there is consideration to make it possible for players to choose all their desired bonus ships and to optionally deactivate counter attack guard posts with a button like the CSG at game creation. These are our 2 only real complaints about this game, we are otherwise super satisfied.

There is a cheat to get rid of the CA posts.  I tried hard to get an option for them in AS beta but got shot down hard.  With the recent changes to them though, they aren't that bad anymore.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I would definitely like the ability to forbid specific bonus ship types. (ZOMBARDS!)

This^^ would be awesome. I would forbid Tackle Drone Launchers, Rail Clusters, Blade Spawners, Maws and Gravity Drains. Allowing players to exclude ships was brought up before.. but the response was "they can be balanced and made "not op/up/annoying"". Well yes that's true but it has not happened. Any reason to not add this option?
"Oh but Kahuna you will never be happy" well Radiant Phoenix doesn't seem to be happy with Zombards even after they were made more reasonable in AIs hands after I (and a couple of other people?) whined about them. Zombards are ok in my opinion but I understand very well why Phoenix doesn't like them. People have different opinions and the balance will never be perfect. Allowing players to exclude the ships they hate would probably solve this problem.

It would be amusing to give the humans and the AI each 3 "ban" picks like before a MOBA round ;)  Wouldn't exactly fit in the lobby, though.

That does sound amusing, depending on the scope of the bans.

You ban Zenith Bombards, the AI bans Fortresses.
You ban Counter attack guard posts, the AI bans Tractor Turrets.
You ban Stealth Battleships, the AI bans fighters.

Well, certainly we could just restrict it to bonus ship types... but it wouldn't be nearly as amusing.
