I'm just going to bring this back up again:

0006446: Extreme Golems/Spirecraft

Essentially adds an option to have the effects of both Medium and Hard Golems/Spirecraft at once. For the masochists.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

Oh man oh man. This is going to be hard to watch develop from afar.

Good luck with the development. :)

Probably the biggest thing for my gaming group would be the ability to select any planet in map selection and then choose our desired bonus ship (or multiple ships if choosing multiple homeworlds). Any chance of this?

Doubtful. See Why Does The Game Force Variety On The Player?

However, the idea of a "seed gen search" has been raised in the past.

Still would like to push for all the bugs that cause the AI to get stuck, or do incredibly stupid things that even a 8 year old could see is stupid, to be fixed.

Would you like a list of the mantis issues I have in mind. (Not all of them were posted by me, BTW ;))

A list of those with saves where the problems can be reproduced would be nice, yes :)

In general those bugs don't seem to bug people all that much, going by the last bug poll, but I don't mind spending a few hours trying to fix them if they'll at least do me the courtesy of happening again in a controlled environment.

Sure thing. I am linking all of the ones that have saves. Some of them have duplicates or related issues that also have saves. Keep in mind, some of these saves are pretty old. And also, due to the "AI full sync" that loading a game implies, some of the bugs may "fix" themselves on load, thus requiring more waiting around unit the bug reproduces itself. (don't you hate those kinds of bugs :()

Mostly referencing from my terra-big bug nomination post:

2577: AI wave ships attacked and now they won't move and all issues marked as related to it
10967: AI units sometimes not moving into attack range
2686: Some event attack units barely moving/"jumpy" and all issues marked as related to it (though this can happen with other things like hybrid escorts too)
9988: AI Ships waiting to enter wormholes sometimes go through anyways and all issues marked as related to it
4833: AI Engineer not repairing everything it can

And one that shouldn't be too hard to get a save for, but I don't have one yet:
7494: Freed AI Melee Units that are waiting at a wormhole don't always attack

Looking at the issue description there appears to be some confusion about whether either of the saves actually reproduces the problem.  Does either of them?

Will you guys finally get round to explaining what the AI is actually doing outside of the galaxy?

Pretty sure that's been there a couple of years already.
Arcen in Summary:
thank you so much, RNG
It aims to please!

Or is that "to kill"?  Hmm.

10967: AI units sometimes not moving into attack range
In both saves, when I load them, the AI units who want to attack your bomber starship(s) have move orders to a wormhole and in the process of that pick the bomber starship as a target, so they:
1) Proceed to the wormhole.
2) When they get there, there's not enough firepower to actually go after your homeworld (that's where said wormhole goes), so they set it as a wait point
3) Now that they've just got it as a wait point, they go back after your bomber starship, and do in fact close to firing range and open fire.

So my guess is that there was something preventing the wormhole orders from working right in the past and that was fixed since then.  Do you have a case that reproduces in the latest version?

Your record had 2 saves and Hearteater's had 1; the third record had no saves so I just left a feedback note on it asking for one.  All 3 saves now behave normally after this for 6.026:

Speaking of, I just added two more mantis reports on behavior issues.  On is a movement "studder" issue, and the other an attack issue.  Complete with saves for your convenience :) .

Ok, I think I nailed that one.  Not really a big deal, but good to have fixed.

A suitable accident has been arranged.
