fleet list reorder for ease of use
« on: September 07, 2014, 09:36:14 am »
i know all your ships are on the right side list but it would be nice if instead of being sorted in a arbitrary unit reference number. i would like a it to sort ships by value from a  selection at the top of the box. most times i want to sort by speed so i can quick select ships at or above certain speeds. only other useful, setting for me normally is that i sometimes want to sort by range so i can grab longest range stuff and group it. third selection i normally would want to sort by is by unit metal cost. sometimes you jsut want to throw things that dont cause as much retaliation or can be built quickly up again.
i know you are looking at things for inerface suggestion and this one ran across my mind so i wanted to suggest it.

yeah kahuna i remember them but I'm just trying to suggest things that save on the pause and order time in fleet redeployment.

Yep. But pausing would still be the best way to give orders. Not pausing would always be suboptimal. That's because AI War was designed to minimize micro and the player spends most of the time zoomed out. For example in Starcraft the units are bigger so it's easier to micro individual units in real time.

What you suggested could make the game a bit more beginner friendly though.
