First encounter with the EYE

So I encountered the EYE for the first time today and was able to take down two of them. Is the only real way to take them out is send in cloaked siege starships and hit it from afar then send in the rest of the fleet? that seems like it is gonna get harder and harder to do when systems get stronger and stronger. What other ways are there to take out EYE's?

Prepare a transport. Load some bomber/siege starship and one or two command star ship and few dozen heavy bomber(or normal bomber depend on how you call it or remember it). Load them inside the transport in your planet. Before launching the attack, make sure you know where the eye is. Unload units in transport just before it reaches the eye. Select all units and order them to attack only the eye. You can retreat your bombers and when ready launch the real attack.

I've got to say this but AI eye is just one time annoyance which can be taken care pretty easily. But I can not counter propose anything that make avoid blobing of unit...

Are there any weapons that can shoot cross planets? and how about warheads on them? or is that not feasible.

each planet is a completely separate battleground - nothing can happen across planets.

Are you saying from planet to planet or from one side to the other of the same planet ?

I was wondering from one planet to the other, but apperently that doesn't work.
So the only real tactic is just to get stuff that does good damage against them then sneak them in and hit them then the rest of your army comes in.

OK Each planet is a separate battle ground. On the other hand, some AI structures can be active across wormholes: Alarms and Raid Engines to name two

I just use a full cap of raid starships. Usually, what happens is that the AI guardians ditch whatever they were guarding in very short order to go counterattack (so much for "guarding"), leaving my ships all by themselves to take down the target.

They've become more of a nuance courtesy of the AI forcefield buff when one is underneath.  Yeah, transports with bombers work, but if the eye is under a forcefield I usually go for the command station first, so as to rid of the other problems before dealing with the eye.

suicide attacks with number of ships equal to number of enemy ships on planet works fine

I have a new problem, In my current singleplayer game I sort of have a stalemate... I believe.
I am on a X system map or what ever they are called. And I have almost completely taking one of the "x's". There is one system standing in my way and it is a IV planet. It also has an EYE.  With about 1000 ships and it sends waves at me quite often. How am I supposed to drop this place?
Right now i am using my leech starships and trying to steal what ever they send at me then repairing them lol. Thats the only feasible way for me to get IV ships.

I could be playing completely terrible lol so keep that in mind. I skipped the tutorial and am learning everything through the ingame tooltips and screw ups lol. i like it better that way.

What ever you are comfortable with.  
I tend to turtle too much.
Also, this game is not like most, where there is a single optimal build Que (Starcraft, etc.) and only one "right way". Reserve to yourself the decision to accept or reject any and all offers and advice  including this post.
