Thanks again for your time, I'm off to try your strategies.

Neinzul chambers and what not.  How do you fill them?  I see the AI has them, and I can build them, but how do you fill them?

What are they good for?  Thanks.

Wingflier, with that strategy, have you tried mixing in Enclaves? With all of the knowledge the path of destruction would give you, tech-ing up this otherwise expensive tree would mean you could cart around a portable ship factory that can produce Mark IV ships even out of supply. Seems like that would be of great benefit in reducing the long supply chain problem and wouldn't tie you down to Adv. Factories back in the turtle zone. You'll still need to restock starships somehow, but these factories are cheap and build quickly, they can be thrown down on any of the throw-away worlds near the homeworld. Another thing you could consider doing is switching to Logistics stations instead of economic stations, turning your path of destruction in a Highway of Destruction. ;)

I find it hilarious that a couple of you guys started with everything on and then slowly turned it off.  That's such a gung ho way to learn the game, and so contrary to the logical progression of human learning (step by step).  I love that.

Heh, I actually went a few steps further. I switched to Fast & Dangerous on my first games too (back when that was the fastest option) and enabled Schizophrenic Waves for the AI because I thought that a realistic galactic menace would be one that didn't let me trivially Rock-Paper-Scissors its fleets.

I did the same as Kron. Everything on, all expansions and go wild. After a while I learnt what I like and not. By then I turned off a couple of things, like Astro Trains, Miners and Human Rebellions. Not quite ready for those just yet.

Ooh, I did the same thing: start with everything and dial down the bits I don't like. I ended up removing Astro Trains as they felt really annoying and really arbitrary (my mind cannot fit them into any model of interstellar warfare at all). I hate immersion breakers.
Time travel in the classic sense has no place in rational theory, but temporal distortion does exist on the quantum level, and more importantly it can be controlled.
