EMP Mark not working

i tried to disable AI home's planet shields with it..reading the descriptions it would seem to be able to bring down the shields but it didn\'t happen. What's going on?

If they're on the AI Homeworld, those are almost certainly Mark V (Core) Force Fields, which are unaffected by EMP warheads.
