Whats the Difference between Auto Explore and Auto Scout Picket?

Auto Explore tries to get scouts to a planet that you've never scouted before (or haven't scouted in a long time).
- Its purpose is to reveal more of the map


Auto Scout Picket tries to get scouts on planets you don't own and don't currently have a scout on.
- Its purpose is to keep more of the map under ongoing observation
