Don't try this at home
« on: February 19, 2013, 09:19:58 pm »
In case you were wondering, this is what your ship queue looks like in 16 homeworld, high caps.  It is also a little bit laggy at times.

[facetious]By the way, there seems to be a scapegoat bug:  higher ranks of Neinzul Scapegoats aren't increasing the cap above 1500.[/facetious]
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

Ohh, I think I see your CPU waving a white flag.

Really, why would you do that to it?  :o

Although now you have me wondering what I could do to mine.....

Maybe he's using AI War as a CPU scarer instead of Crysis 3, since that came out recently. ???

That's about the same thought that lead me to my current game:  curiousity mixed with boredom and a dash of evil laughter.

I plan to start an AAR for this game within a day or two...16 homeworld and high caps is only a small fraction of the insanity I aim to unleash...
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

It isn't as bad as it could be. They fixed the thing where multi-homeworld Fallen Spire games allowed you to get approximately
[(number of homeworlds)^2]*[(4 Spire Frigates) + (1 Spire Destroyer) + (0.5 Spire Cruiser) + (0.25 Spire Battleship) + (0.125 Spire Dreadnought)]*(number of Spire Shard Reactors)

As many Spire Dreadnoughts as Fighters, anyone?

Granted, to do this you essentially had one shard reactor per three cities (on a 16-homeworld map), but it did give you enormous Spire Fleets.

That's no asteroid belt...

I'm just going to sit and watch from a safe distance  ;)

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

Well, it doesn't work anymore. Not since those of you at Arcen fixed the bug that applied the multiple homeworld ship-cap multiplier to the ship caps for the various city structures - I think you fixed it around the same time you reworked ship caps to be the same at all mark levels, but I'm not sure about that. It was occasionally fun, though, in the "I want to play with excessive amounts of firepower" way (Fallen Spire is "only" ridiculous amounts of firepower with this bug fixed).

And of course it's not an asteroid belt - that's a debris field we just passed through! Used to be the AI fleet! Or were you referring to our ships? :)
