Sorry for long list, and i obviously "preffered" some ships over others. I did not include turrets and bonus ship type, but if i'm missing anything from the non expansion base game tell me

Well

Never - Scout 3 - Fighter 2/3 - Eng 3 - Warp Jammer (pointless) - Cloaker 123 way too fragile - harvester forcefield - knowledge is scarce, resource collectors are not

(I always unlock Command Station 3 right at the start... every system without a MK3 in it is a waste of resources.

warp jammer stations and engineer mk3 are probably the only ones I've never unlocked. Others I've at least experimented on. :3 Some of the others I unlock rarely, but there's always a chance they may be useful in some scenarios.

from the words of the people, i can tell and suggest to change cloaker starship, higher level command station( see my other post) , mk 3 engineers since mk2 is enough, warp jammer command station way too much of wasting resources and others for now

Tho I seldom do it, I have used scout Mk III and IV. The IV is great, but mostly viable on the larger planet maps, like 120.

I never use frigates. I tend to play a very speedy, micromanaged offensive game, and enemy frigates are just far too easy to kill with that strategy. Also never bothered with the decloaker, since the tachyon drone thingy does the job. I suppose I should try him just to see what he does.

Oh, and mk2 scout is usually enough, but when it's not, I go straight for mk4 while rarely actually building any mk3's.

Good to see that the Riots are so indispensable.  (I still like to think that I had a strong hand in the making of that war pig, and not just giving the brute a face.)

Warp-Jammer Station.  Oh dear; near universally shunned.  It is rather pointless after all.  ;)

I'm surprised people pick dreadnoughts, they are utterly pointless in my opinion.  Slow as hell, terrible at the job they're intended for (long range artillery), and generally not very useful.  The only thing that they are good at is killing Starships but there are other alternatives to the dreadnought that don't involve spending the knowledge or resources for a slow, dedicated starship killer.  Especially since starships aren't very common.

Does warp jammer prevent enemy ships from entering the planet?  Or only "waves"?

If it prevents everything, and only costs -20,-20, then you could probably build them on those resource rich planets with lots of asteroids and come out ahead; and you wouldn't have to worry about building any defenses on that planet whatsoever.  I'm mainly talking about those planets that are far out of your way, which you would like to have but don't want to commit to defending.

Could also be use to fortify your home if it's in a corner.

only waves, and the developers say it's good for high value target plus things on the planet that cause some 30 times the wave number, useful sometimes maybe but not worth unlocking

I'd say you just have to be creative when using it.

For example, something I've wanted to try is creating a speed corridor with Zenith Space Time Manipulators. The only issue is the wave penalties and on large maps or ones with extra connections gate raiding a lot might not be an option because of the AIP costs. A related idea would be creating a safe wave proof corridor that lets you ignore Golem Wave penalties when you move them into position. Since destroying a command station doesn't cost AIP you could replace them as needed.  ;D
