Do Steam users see Tidalis in their list of games?

I have a report from one reviewer saying that Tidalis was showing up in his list of games on Steam.  He has AI War, but Steam doesn't even have the game files for Tidalis yet (Tidalis comes out on the 16th, so it's a good 6 days away).  So it's not that this game even works on there, but I don't know if Valve accidentally gave us some "free advertising" in a wider sense, or if that only affects people that are AI War customers on Steam, or if this was just some random fluke with that reviewer.

Anyone seeing Tidalis in their Steam list?  And if so, do you have AI War on Steam?

But you're an admin on our Steam account, so that's to be expected.  That's the problem with asking staff.

Oh, yes, I meant to ask you about this. He mentioned it to me last night and I looked all through the account to see if he'd been given a copy, but saw no such thing. Really weird.

i bought ai war over steam, and tidalis is not showing up in my games library, if that helps

Own both Fleet Command and Zenith Remnant, and Tidalis is not available in either the store or my library.

But then i added through the non-steam game interface

steam add games in the steam/games/common/ folder to its library?

if installing AI war over steam creates some note somewhere that arcen games are installed to steam/games/common? perhaps the updater?
I have not installed tidalis, so perhaps that is the issue..

Then again, probably a huge jump in randomness, but *shrug*

Our installers don't have any relationship between one another, so it's not that.  This is really odd, to be sure.  Maybe he added it to his list like RCIX did, but then forgot, I don't know.

That's about the only explanation I can think of.  It's theoretically conceivable that some reviewers have steam accounts with some sort of special status (I'm not aware of any such), but I'm sure that wouldn't expose the game onto his list without our having said anything.

Yep, pretty much what I was thinking on all that, too.  But I'm not aware of any special press list with Steam, most reviewers need a copy directly from the developer/publisher, or buy it themselves, depending.

Well, he definitely didn't add the game himself, and it has the same behavior as it does for us, where running it fails because the game isn't on Steam yet. I don't think he did anything to make this happen; by the sounds of it, this sort of thing hasn't happened to him before, so I suspect it wasn't any sort of special reviewer privileges.

I guess he's just lucky.

I am not seeing it in my steam either.
