Two Champion Questions
« on: August 20, 2012, 06:08:02 pm »
1) How do you take away a Mod from your Champion to replace it?

2) Why do the champions put on "auto-attack" (I forget what yall call it) the wormhole guard posts?

Quote
To replace, just select the champion, click the MODS button in the bottom-left (or press Ctrl+M), click the module slot you want to change, click the new choice, and hit Apply To Selection.

To remove, you can use that to replace with empty, or you can zoom in on the ship, physically select the module, and hit delete to scrap it.

They shouldn't auto-attack those, and I don't think I've seen other reports of them doing so, so I don't know why they did in your case.

Ctrl+M worked just fine.

Ctrl+X  on an enemy planet makes my champion stay at the wormhole guardian. Shouldn't that command make him move onto bigger and better things? Or does it just attack the nearest enemy and stay there until it's dead? I'd like to drop him on a planet in an auto mode to micro other aspects. Help?

Ctrl-X is attack-move. It makes a unit move to a point, stopping to fight along the way. I think you are thinking of ctrl-V. That is free roaming defender. In that mode a ship will go around the planet to attack stuff.

Edit: Looks like you ninjaed me.

The ctrl isn't needed.  Ctrl indicates thr ship should pass througn a worm hole.  If you don't happen to click on a worm hole, ctrl+v+click and v+click are the same.  But if you want them to FRD right on top of a worm hole without actually going through it, you don't want to hold down Ctrl.  Same for X and ctrl+x.

About the auto-attacking wormhole guard posts, I see my other ships do this from time to time. And it is any ship, though modular ships seem a bit more prone to it.
