Controlling Cloaking Boosting
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:17:13 am »
Is there a way to tell scouts which ships should be boosting, and which boosted?  I have a Mk2 and a Mk4, and I'd /like/ the Mk4 to boost the Mk2 to get it past this tachyon guardian, but the Mk2 keeps insisting on boosting the Mk4, which doesn't need it courtesy of being tachyon-beam-immune.

Honestly, when it comes to scouting I tend to be blunt: Either send lots of available scouts, or just use the high-mark scouts and their immunity to tachyon guardians for non-picket scouting, so I haven't really tried that before.

I found a mention in some earlier release notes that scouts will never boost a ship of lower mark.  Unfortunately, that makes the Mk4's cloaking boost ability completely useless, as the only ships it will boost are Scout Starship IVs, which are also Tachyon immune.
