Alright, here we go. Will be referring to the screenshot several posts above.
Looking over what I was handed, there was nothing but despair in our worlds, and the threat of Hybrids was looming. But amidst all of this there was one glimmer of hope: the Xampite Asteroid on Reweras. I immediately ordered to stockpile resources after rebuilding the fleet to go towards building two Spirecraft Jumpships Mark 2, glorious vessels indeed. With those finished up and a scout dock up and running, it was time to find the lair of the Super Hybrid (and other assorted goodies).
<15 minutes of scouting and defending>
Someone left these turrets lying all over the place, it's almost like Cyborg has been here before! Thank god they did, though, because the Hybrids were relentless and did even manage to destroy one of my planets, putting me near brown-out by about 2k energy. However, scouting was going at an insane rate, and in 15 minutes we found:
-Golems: Hive, Regen, Botnet, Artillery, Cursed, Black Widow, wait, that's all of them (P7 on the map)
-4 ARS's (P9) and the Dyson (top left in ALL CAPS)
-bunch more Civilian Leaders (P3)
-5 Data Centers (spoiler alert: they're all dead)
-a couple fact IV's (closest is on Linpih (P9))
-coreworlds (P8)
-and Mr. Hybrid himself (P9, also in ALL CAPS over to the right)
Two main options were before me, go for the super-hybrid through an ARS or to the Dyson and Botnet (which has an ARS also). The hybrid is sitting on a mark3 planet with an Eye, so that seems a little out of reach without some extra firepower, and the Botnet can provide that. Also, the first stage shouldn't begin earlier than 5:30-6:00, so we've got enough time. One problem with the Dyson plan is that freeing Dyson will trigger an alarm on a mark4 with ~300 ships on it, but we'll just have to deal with that. We have Martyrs, it'll be fine.
Speaking of Martyrs, those and the Raid Starships were next up on the queue. We have a ton of extra crystal, so that wasn't really a problem. After the Raids are done, it is time to start the Data Center season. Five DCs get destroyed, my losses are 1 jumpship and 3 raids, AIP is literally through the floor at 22.
All of that caused threat to jump up to almost 200, most of which is hanging off the homeworld and with hybrids and enclaves around that's not a good thing. So naturally I decide to clean this up by luring it into the HW. Probably should have stopped here and thought that one through, but oh well. I withdraw the fleet, but the fortress is enough to keep everyone away. I turn it off, nothing happens. I turn it back on, a raider guardian comes in and gets blown to bits. I go 'WTF?' and turn it off again, and FIVE HUNDRED ships led by 22 hybrids immediately come crashing in. The fleet is ordered back, there are fights all over the homeworld, and the Martyr which I left there 'just in case' makes the clutch save, killing 14 Hybrids in a blaze of glory. The rest is cleaned up shortly thereafter, but that was pretty close. No time to celebrate, though, got to go on the offensive, and our first target is Mikdesne on the way to the Dyson, it has over 400 mk2s, however. The first round is a draw with both sides losing half their fleet. While I rebuild, the Dyson breaks out, finishing off the last defenders that didn't pretend to be junk (good god this AI type is annoying, I have un-uncloakable mkIVs just sitting there on my worlds now). The next attack, some stray Gatlings interfere, but Mikdesne is cleaned out without much problem. The order is given to destroy the command station... two lightning warheads come out of the silo... and we are waiting for the patch
Okay, so the next steps are getting the Botnet, absorbing the Alarm counter and clearing the way to the SuperHybrid, this will probably take up the rest of my allotted time. I don't think the stacked MKIV's near us are a huge problem, they are filling up very slowly, and we're about to get some serious firepower going.
Anyways, this has been great fun so far, and I have no idea why this hasn't been done before on this forum
