Counter Snipers on Attacks ???

If i attack an AI Planet and there are much sniper units ... what can i do to counter them ???
The normal group to send takes a lot of time through the whole planet area ... on the other side they have to fight cause are so much enemys ... only to send the fastest ships dont happend cause they die on why to them ... are there some counter attack units ???
i play 5.000 with all addons ... i rememberd that in older versions the cloaking starships have had counter snipers ... but now in the description it doesnt display this ability ...

How to handle Sniper Units in attacks ???

Bring scout starships with your blob. They have counter sniper flares.

i looked up ... scouts / scout starships DONT have counter snipers ... they are only imun for it ... dont counter them

I was almost certain scout starships did, because people have been talking lately about how that's practically the only thing they're useful for anymore...

Yeah...I also assumed they would. It's even in the menu tips. But then again, you rarely meet snipers these days.

Is it possible the reason your Scout Starships aren't effective as Countersnipers is that you are allowing them their default behavior of running to a map edge away from the rest of your fleet? I haven't used them in their countersniper role either, but I imagine for them to be effective they need to be close to the units they are protecting. I wish there was some kind of toggle for them or something where you could set a Scout mode and  Fleet mode for them. Scout mode would be their current and default behavior while Fleet mode would have them behave like a normal fleet ship.

If SS-scout only have anti-sniper for themselves, I call it a bug.

Why would a cloaked unit need anti-sniper cover for itself??

Based on the description for sniper guardians: "Long-range railgun oblitrates ships that aren't protected.  Make sure you have a scout starship to protect your fleet until this is destroyed!" They should be providing fleet protection. If they're not, something is bugged somewhere, either in that description or in the ship's behavior. Hope it's not the description, because scout starships are already pretty worthless!

Scout Starships have always had counter-sniper flares and tachyon beam emitters.  I'm pretty sure it was like that when I first started back in 2.0 even.

Scout starships should have counter-sniper flares, which cover a relatively limited radius from the starship.

If they do, then the scour starship running away is actually worse than useless.

But then I'm bitter, I lost an entire maxed fleet to a spider guardian I hadn't seen a couple of days ago. Engines? What engines?  ;D
