Confused About Supply

Hello,

I'm on my third game of AI Wars, and the first since Supply was added.  On the last three planets I have tried to take (the 2nd, 3rd and 4th - all adjacent to the two planets I control), when I take out the orbital in preparation for building my own base, a nuke-like explosion takes place and all supply for the planet disappears - even my mobile builders won't work, and if I build a command station it doesn't work either.  I read that nuked planets receive no supply - is the AI nuking the planet?  Does destroying the orbital set one off?

Hi Skari,

Sounds like you might be up against a Scorched Earth type AI. Upon destruction of a Scorched Earth AI's command station, the planet is nuked, making expansion very difficult - Good luck!

Command stations built on nuked planets don't provide supply.

Yeah, the Scorched Earth AI is a pretty tough one, as it makes collecting resources rather difficult. Because those planets also have no supply, the amount of things you can do there is really limited. Thankfully, there are two AIs, so you're likely to not be going up against two Scorched Earth AIs and thus still have opportunities for expansion.
