Concerning Exogalactic Strikeforces
« on: May 03, 2012, 11:48:24 am »
I'm curious, if you turn on Broken Golems - Hard, and Spirecraft - Hard, does it double the size of the Exogalactic Strikeforce, or make it attack more often?

Also, I'm curious as to what "raises" the percentage value before an Exogalactic Strikeforce attack?

I am currently in a Hard Golems, Hard Spirecraft, and Fallen Spire campaign. The alert is split up showing each separately with separate progress and separate rate of progress.

I think that the Golem and Spirecraft response Exo-waves increase at a flat rate through out your game but I'm just speculating, the Fallen Spire response Exo-waves increases at a rate comparable to how many hubs you have in your galaxy. Nearing the end of my game I find the Golem an Spirecraft response Exo-waves to be almost insignificant compared to the Fallen Spire response Exo-waves.

In general, the level of complaining is driving Developer-Progress up and we're considering launching a wave ;)

I haven't got much to add. Only the fact that the rate of which spirecraft and golem exo's build up (and the strenght of the exo itself), depends on the AIP. the higher the AIP, the faster they build up and the stronger they get.
So if you're someone who tries to keep it's AIP as low as possible, you'll find the Fallen Spire exo's to be tougher. But if you usually end with high AIP like me (I often hit tech III, sometimes even tech IV), then the Spirecraft and Golem exo's can be really tough.

I seem to recall it works something like this for Golem/Spirecraft Exos:

They have a threshold that must be reached or exceeded before they launch.  The percent you see is what percent of the threshold they are at.  You don't see a warning until they reach 50% of their threshold.  The amount of points towards the threshold they get each "tick" is based on your current AIP.  So the higher your AIP the faster they get points towards the threshold.  But since the threshold of each Exo increases (by about 25% each wave), if you have the same AIP between Exo waves, you'll notice it is progressing slightly slower.

Note that Golem and Spirecraft Exos are tracked separately and have no effect on each other.

That's all correct :)

FS Exos work the same way except replace "AIP" with "Spire City Structures".

Edit: and there is one other important rule: regardless of how many 25% increases are done, the threshold has a maximum ceiling which is constant for Golem/Spirecraft exos and which is proportional to spire city structures in FS.
