Not twice per day, every other day. And perhaps I'm grossly exaggerating, but it's been way too frequent for any suggestion. One of my pet peeves is having to respond to the same comment or question repeatedly. When the person is new to the forums or didn't find it in a search, no problems. But when a person knowingly brings up the same thing repeatedly, it feels like they are trying to bludgeon me into submission by getting me to do it just so they won't suggest it anymore.
I am not saying that is the intent, and others have also done that at various points in the past, not just rubikscube, but that's what it feels like. Sometimes I forget things and I am happy when people remind me, but with something I've said "not for months" on, that's a different story.
And suggesting that all the tooltips, videos, and wiki just feels ungrateful -- there are a few things out of date in the tooltips and wiki, but they are just a few topics, and I correct those as I find them or people tell me, as there is time. So no major remake is ever going to happen on those, as I put many hours into those already every month. If you look at many RTS game developer websites for games, they seemingly can't even be bothered to update the data FAQ when their game comes out.
So if you want to know why I was so harsh in that post, there it is. I appreciate the changes rubikscube has made recently, and things have be so much improved. But the above really bugs me, and no matter how many times I've said "okay, I get it, please stop," still it seems to come back up yet again. It has been less frequent recently -- this may even be the first time this week -- but the past frequency from him on that subject has given me little patience on that specific thing. We're okay, rubikscube, but if you want to k ow why i reacted so strongly, that's why.
Anyway... How to derail a thread.
