Kinda obvious glitch

You can build your command station anywhere right? how about you build *shift + mouse go to the left for 20 minutes* your command station a few billion miles away from a worm hole, and then build some sniper turrets ( cause you can only build stuff near you command station )


Solution? Make a planet a limited circle space ( like an atmosphere)

     There is already a maximum distance from the planetary center beyond which things cannot be built.  Have you confirmed that this doesn't apply to command stations?

Unless this is a recent bug, what is being described does not work, as velox says. All stationary ships have to be built quite close to the planet area.

You can, however, have fun with 'AI ships remove stations to pursue' attributes and kiting. Raid starships or armored warheads, anyone? The ships do have a leash, but it is exploitable :)
