I hear ya -- and glad that makes sense.  At some point I hope to add even more variance to both player and AI command stations, but I guess we'll see when that makes sense to do.

still like the new forts, much more approachable, seeing now we will almost have mk3 ships for almost everything (do this nao)

Anyway, if you could make sure that your bug report is actually in the forum (and give me a link if I'm just being stone blind), and give a save if you've got one, I can take a look and see if anything untoward is going on.

I haven't filed a bug report, as I wasn't sure it was a bug.  As I asked, perhaps my memory fails me and things in the past weren't really as golden as I may have thought.  Just like any game, when I was new I was ignorant to many important things which I now recognize - perhaps this has been a long standing behavior which I didn't notice until now?

If I find any concrete examples I will be sure to file a bug report.

Oh, ok.  Well, if you have a concrete example of something like that Riot not shooting at that Electric Bomber (for no apparent other reason), a save of that would be helpful so I could step through and see what exactly's holding it up.  Like I said, we can probably be a little more generous with the throttles now, just need to know which one is clamping down.

Since this is the patch with the forts, I figured I should post this here....  Forts no longer do engine damage.  Is that intentional?  If so, why?  It was quite handy for defending, which is what forts are supposed to be used for....

Yeah, that was by design -- with a ton of shots and a huge range, that was just overpowerful.  I don't recall when forts last had engine damage anyway, I think that was quite some time ago...
