not sure how the ai handles radar damped ships, but it usually ignored any ships that go too far away from the guard posts anyway

I'd say it'd be simpler to just let you have scouts like they are now... not like their cloak gives you any unfair advantage, and the tachyon guardposts are there anyways. Why fix something in anything but the simple way? =) If it needs fixing that is.

Nope, can't do it from this computer easily anyways. Will do later from home(if I remember) unless someone beats me to it(which I wouldn't mind).

don't we already have something that enables to leave ships on enemy planets without cloacking? we got ships that look like debris when they're not moving remember? camouflage
how about instead of giving scouts cloacking ability, give them the ability to look like debris when they're not moving. That way scouting will still work even when cloacked ships are turned off
