Can't repair a broken golem

Hallo everyone,
I'm new to the game, and have a little problem with a broken botnet golem.
I captured the system, got ownership and I have over 1 mil energy but I can't figure out how to repair it.
Engineering Drones, Rebuilder,... nothing seems to work. Tried it with the Golem in stand down mode and without.

It just sits there and doesn't show any progress.

What am I doing wrong?

could you give us a bit more details? like, do you have the proper amount of resources (botnets are very expensive)? And did you put your engineers in defend mode or did you actually order them to repair? Engineers in defend mode (v+click) don't automatically repair high cost units like the botnet, unless you change that in the settings.
maybe you could upload a save so that we could take a look at it? AI War: Fleet Command - RunTimeData - Save   is where you should find your save files, which you can upload here with additional options, in case you didn't know =)

A question for MayhemMike:
When you tried to repair the golem, did you select engineers and right-click the golem? Unless you have a very high threshold value for the 'engineers assist major construction projects' setting in options, engineers will not attempt to repair a broken golem without receiving an order to begin repairs.

If you did select at least one engineer and right-click the golem, then you'll have to do what zoutzakje said in his/her post.

I figured it out by now. Right-clicking the Golem, with engineers didn't work, every time I tried I got that "can't do that" sound but using the mobile repair platform did the job.

Sounds like there is still something fishy going on.

I searched for an older save file in which I haven't started repairing it with the mobile platforms but didn't find one. Sorry guys. I found one with the Golem at 40% and there I can order the engineers to repair it, tried it with Mark 1 +2. Worked with both.

I will try to recreate that situation with a new game

If you keep the same map seed, map type, AI types, home planet(s), minor factions, and AI plots, then yes.

Thankfully, all of those things except the home planet will be the same as the last game you started.
And if it isn't, there is a command to copy a currently running game's set of options into the "game settings cache".
