Ok, here are my final touches.

The minimal width is 1024 in windowed mode, so I was going for 1024x768 to fit all pop-ups. It's looking quite good now.
Only for the remains and the astro turrent trains (which are not translated), the text is cutted on the left side.

The control-node buttons are readable now.

Changed PDK (Produktionsstätten) to PRD (Produktionsstätten).

Changed Freischalten into Freischalten: which looks much better now.

And of course many new-line and space-issues.

Can someone make a complete zip file with the "up-to-date" german translation, its kinda confusing now as to whats newest and which files to get. Last time i checked there were a lot more xml files than just 3 in the language folders  ;D

Creating the folder "trans" inside the Language folder is enough. Put the xml files directly there and the game will pick them up.

Most likely there won't be an in-game switch option, at least not for German and Russian, because Arcen does not own the translations for those (or the rights to sell directly in those languages, even digitally).  Rather, our respective publishers will be putting out both the retail copies in those languages, and their plan is also digital distribution in those languages with them as separate products.  If Arcen had had the resources to do its own translations directly, then we would have done an in-game switch and this whole thing would have been simpler, but as it stands that's where we are kind of stuck at the moment.  I had to get permission from the German publisher to post the loca files for you guys to be able to look at it and help out, etc, as well.

heh well thats not a big deal.. just renaming folders works for me..  ;D Its much easier on the brain to play in German and since we don't have any story (ie, voice acting) i prefer German text over English text ;p

By the way, who is the German Publisher? (If you can say?) ;D

The German publisher is The Games Company, I can now say (for the longest while, I could not).

Okay, here is the new current version of the complete translation, based off of the DECurrent2 compiled by akronia.  This should only be used with 3.022 or higher:  http://arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,3586.0.html

If anyone has any final suggestions or updates to this, please base them off of these files.  If there are no more suggetions or improvements, this is what we will go live with on Monday the 1st.  Most likely I will deliver the gold master with this back to TGC on this Friday.  In the meantime, they will do their testing with this preliminary version, and so will Arcen, and if there's any issues those can be ironed out before Friday, hopefully.  It's looking really solid to me simply from a sizing/spacing/wrapping perspective, though.  I added some new code to help with the wrapping in 3.022 specifically.

Also, thanks to everyone for their help!  The credits have also been updated to include a new section for localization down at the end.  If I am missing anyone, or if anyone would like their real name used rather than their forum handle, please do let me know (feel free to PM me if you want).

Haha, no. :)  That's just the industry term for the "1.0" retail version that is released.  Or, in this case... 3.022ish... :)

I found a couple of new-line problems with the new version, but the xml-files in DEcurrent3 are all missing line-breaks completely, which makes it kind of hard to edit them.

Is this intended? How do I insert new-lines in this condensed form?

There are definitely line breaks in there, I think this may be a localization problem between your editor and mine.  In the US, standard line breaks are CRLF.  In the DEcurrent3, I discovered that they are just filled with CRs.  This was causing issues in the game, so I made it convert both CRLFs and CRs into LFs, which makes them show up correctly with line breaks in-game.  In the editor I use (Notepad++), it shows CRs, LFs, or CRLFs as line breaks appropriately, but depending on your editor it might not.

Aside from the above notes, the game now auto-wraps text if it is more than 740px wide.  So you might be running into that a bit, if you see a few things hanging over the end.  The couple that I noticed were an issue with manual CRs being added, though.

Are you seeing it having all the expected line-breaks in-game, but not in your editor?  I'd just like to confirm that, to make sure that the display of just LFs in the game itself is working appropriately for your OS language.

Thanks!

I'm on Windows 7 (UK) and used plain old notepad so far... but that might be the problem right there.

Ingame, the new auto-wrap is working fine. But because of that, some manually defined line-breaks that were done beforehand look ugly right now.

Installing notepad++ right now...
