Laser Gatling + Starship = unstoppable force?

I'm playing a game in which i have laser gatlings, and they look good against just about everything except forcefields. So i thought what could go with gatlings that's good against forcefields? then it hit me: a Flagship! So far my force has bowled over everything in it's way, and my question is, is there anything that can stop this combo?

Raiders(well and some fighters to take down the starships faster).

Honestly, I think raiders are more overpowered than laser gatlings.  Nothing like having both more speed and range their their only counter, and killing both of the other two basic units and turrets easily+immunity to tractors and being one of the fastest units in the game.

Try playing the latest pre-release. I haven't actually tested, but the patch notes said starships were nerfed against force-fields.

Actually, i was wondering why they werent doing much against force fields...
