It would be nice to have a toggle to make ships with full tractors count as non-combat for selection and remove them from current selections when they become full.  I think that would make EtherJets and such much more useful.

More seriously, when I say:

Quote
that sounds a lot more complicated (for me and the players) than it needs to be

I don't mean that it's massively complicated in absolute terms (Hybrids are complicated, remote hacking is nothing that bad), rather that relative to how complicated it "needs to be", it's a lot more than that.

Except that two things:

1) The ship still remains in my selection.
and
2) When given a move order and it already has a tractored unit, it will not retreat again, even after it finishes moving.
Ok; the second point I don't think could really be changed without it causing a lot of "I gave you a move order! Why did you ignore it!" situations.

The first point could be changed.  In theory through yet another toggle though I'm not sure that's a good idea.  If people in general want that toggle to remove the tractoring ship from your selection at that time, I can make it do that.  But is that what's wanted?

I would LOVE etherjet tractors if they deselected themselves when rallying due to the tractor behavior.  Select etherjets -> send them at things -> reposition remainder -> have none left in selection -> repeat

Uncertain Recitation: "man animals"?

Puzzled Query: why do you not employ the demonstrably superior term, "meatbags"?

Because "meatbag" is used by droids, cyborgs and robots. "Meatbag" is a derogatory term for any organic being, and Phsyclos are distinctively organic.

If it doesn't end in a god bleeding, or sending a thousand trojans to bang on the gates of hell, it isn't epic.
Wait.
Six hundred railclusters?
Ok, that's suitably epic.

I'm going for the "Hope enough of the fallen spire campaign falls in my third of the map" route.

If not I guess it's time to break out the warheads. Shame that they're immune to reclamation :c

The issue I have with this approach of just "best of"/"worst of" polls is that it doesn't address some of the biggest underlying problems.

Even though the Spire Armor Rotter, Anti-Armor Ship, Zenith Polarizer, Autocannon Minipods (other anti-armor ships), etc. have been buffed time and time again, there's a fundamental issue:  Armor isn't that big of a problem.

Today I unlocked a Spire Shadow Frigate and saw a really neat modular weapon called the Zenith Polarization weapon or something, that did more damage based on armor.  It seemed cool til I remembered that armor is rarely ever a concern, where I'm constantly fighting ships with bonuses applicable to the modular weapon types.  When will that weapon even be useful?  When I'm about to face an exo-wave or something?

I would rather just take those ships out of the game until we can do something with them, because they're just wasting space.
