MRS positioning when stacked with a fleet.
« on: May 02, 2010, 11:17:53 am »
Would it be possible to have the MRS default to the middle of the formation when issuing a move order with it also selected now that its repair beams go so far? Also having it bandbox selectable with the military ships would be rather nice too. I use the MRS alot obviously.  ;D

edit: thinking about it I should probably made this thread in the suggestions section.  :P

Acually after noticing how really freaking far the repair beams go now I withdraw my suggestion for having them sit near the middle of a formation automatically. Would be kinda pointless.  :P However letting them be selected with a bandbox along with the military ships would still be nice.  :)

Umm, danando, would you perhaps consider not slipping into texting shorthand quite so much? I'm assuming you're at your computer, so you've got a full keyboard and presumably enough time to use more fleshed out punctuation, spelling and grammar. Cause right now, your posts are a bit painful to read  :(

I've been away, did they ever adopt the idea of having MRS seek out (as in move to) the mass of damaged ships or do they still rely on tugs to drag them back one by one?

It still relies on tugs, and it's shiny new three-quarters-as-much-range-as-a-dreadnought repair beams :)

speaking of which, are we ever going to get a hotkey to show the range of an MRS? before it wasnt an issue, since we had tugs, but now it would be nice to have it, since personally I tend to stick one or two in key systems to heal turrets since they have enough range to do so. Plus, it would also help us keep track of where individual MRSs are in a single system ;)
