Are Anti Starship Arachnids immune to Dyson gatlings?

Are Anti Starship Arachnids immune to Dyson gattlings?

The dyson sphere in my game has done a wonderful job cleaning up a few planets. However, it seems that the AI has figured out that dysons cannot damage arachnids as there is now a planet full of 500+ arachnids and only arachnids to fight off the dyson gatlings. It seems that gatlings don't even shoot at them, indicating some sort of immunity. Is this intentional? I don't see any sort of listed 'gatling' immunity in the arachnid description.

Heh that would explain it. I guess having that A under them is a little confusing. I assume it stands for arachnid. but its still somewhat out of place. Maybe putting the standard core marker on it, including a 'this ship is a core ship' blurb in its description, or something might stave off future confusion. Heh I'm no newby to this game but the thought that arachnids were core never really crossed my mind.


AFTERTHOUGHT EDIT: additionally, neither the dyson sphere nor its gatling guns contain any description saying they cannot attack core ships. This could be a super simple fix maybe? (unless I'm being unbelievably thick and missing something...which is very possible hehe)

really? am I alone in thinking that either the dyson/gatlings or the arachnids could use some form of clarification?

dyson gatlings not shooting core ships is a long time ago.... and really, fun story. Them not shooting core ships never applied to core command stations. (see sig)
