The Speed Racer's Avenger is faster too...a 200 speed Avenger on my first encounter...  :o
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

Interesting, that thing's been in the game over 2 years, and I think you're the first person to find that :)

It was about as spastic...thankfully, it ran right to my newly-rebuilt rebel fleet instead of my home command station.  And I thought the speed Racer unlocking Zenith Bombards was bad...  :o

EVERYTHING is faster, including astro trains. Really annoying to have a turret train race by and make all your FRD units try to catch it. Never mind that astro trains would probably benefit from not getting the speed increase as that keeps them in a relevant system for longer.

I'd like to point out that not only are speed race units faster, they outright ignore player speed reducers.  Like logic stations.

They already ignore non-turret astrotrains (though I wish they would autoattack regenerator ATs too since every HP those things lose is an HP they can't regenerate something with). Normally the ATs are slow enough that it's not a problem but with a speed racer...

I removed speed racer from my playable list after that few exos that were chasing me with 200+ speeds :D

I think they ignore gravity effects too, but I can't be sure (gravity drain, gravity ripper, gravity turret, grav-drill...)
