God, I haven't seen those videos in forever.  So long ago!

And also funny because I had a bit of a cold while recording the audio; I'm not normally that nasal.  ;D

Were those videos ever updated? That one seems like a whole different game, and I worry if that would turn out people who would enjoy the game in its current form.
Life is short. Have fun.

The tutorial vids where remade my Moonshine Fox, iirc. Those vids where made sometime post-Unity, but I don't remember exactly when. The basics should still be similar to what they where then, though. The "General Tactics" and "co-op mid-game tour" vids still use a pre-Unity version though, It would be nice to have an update for them. It would probably have to be a community member though, since x4000 and keith are going to try and focus on AVWW after 5.0

I think there are 2 or 3 different sets of these video's. There is also a v2 version of this, which feels a little more like the game we have now.

These where actually the most entertaining, for me at least. Really liked seeing where this game is coming from.
The concept seems the same overall, but the level of refinement is huge :)

I liked Moonshine Fox's video's mostly for its slip-ups, like naming the game by pasting it in a textbox cause he didn't remember the name of the game :D

That must have been version 1.008 or even earlier because i am sure i was messing about with the radar image when it was just grey circle around those versions.  ;D

Huh, that was really in 2009? ;P Time passes fast.

Man that game looks so terrible. Still using 2D graphics. Lazy. And several hour long games being considered short? The pacing is WAY off. Several different battlefields/planets, not one big one; that's too hard to keep track of. And of course, too many ship types. Don't they realize that complexity is bad in this modern gaming era?

;)

In case your sarcasm detector is broken, yes, this post is a joke.

Hey, that was a great radar circle! Also, RIP the quick select buttons.

Yeah, but they were ugly squarish things, kinda like the rest of the interface back then :P

I will say though, I really do miss the old main menu. The new one just looks too bunched up and cluttered.

If anyone wants them, here they are:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znOR2rc5LH8 - Intermediate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTYMnzgCbGM - Advanced

And yeah, it contains a few slip-ups. The most noticable is the Advanced one at the end where I say "Welcome to Eve Online". -.- At least I added a notification for that :D

Yep, that was the original design before they were changed to the current counters.
