Anti-Raid starship...

So..what is most efficient against these things? They tend to come into my planet and instapop my command station...grr. Mark 3s seem to be immune to most things I toss at them.

I haven't checked, how are heavy beam cannons against them?

Well, in my last game, hilariously enough my Beam cannons wouldn't even fire at them, so...not good at all?

Fortresses might work. Too bad in this game I have no possibility to unlock them. (No knowledge and too little time to build them). Why on earth were they made immune to AoE? Too easy to counter with beamies?

Dunno.  And I don't think the beams were in mind, rather other forms of radial aoe.

It seems a bit overkill to build a silo and spam warheads (because you will NEED to spam them against a starship with hundreds of thousands of hitpoints) to kill one ship :/ Especially if it's sitting under my forcefield shooting my command station xD

Speaking of starships, holy crap Spires and Zenith ships are dangerous now. With their massive HP buffer they can do quite a lot of damage before getting destroyed. Had a couple of those sailing through my homeplanet after a vicious fight.

They're not so scary for me (any of them); i have just about every turret i could research, plus a few MRS and a Fortress MkI on a chokepoint planet. It's amazing how much damage a fortress can do to a spire or zenith starship if you give it time :)

True, but an eyebot doesn't kachink 1+ percent out of a 14 million health unit with every salvo :)

This is a little strange, but I've noticed that a big group of deflector drones does excellent damage to raid starships.  They have relatively good speed and range for a fleet ship for chasing them down too.  Of course, getting these is a luck-of-the-draw thing, as I can't imagine anyone picking them intentionally.   ;D
