The AI selection list seems to act weird when I scroll in it. If I don't scroll, it works fine, but if I mouse scroll, selects a different (and incorrect) AI type. Also, if I scroll, and the hold down the click, I can see it jumping down or up 2ish slots before the dropdown goes away. However, if i scroll to the very top or bottom of the list, it acts like I hadn't scrolled at all and works fine. Clicking to trigger the jump then letting go off of a button, then clicking an ai type works fine as well.

So the Quadratic AI is pretty much putting a timer into the game: if you take too long to win, you *are* going to get overwhelmed eventually.  Interesting.

The other stuff all looks amazingly cool.  Is it too late to sign up for the beta (already)?  I'll send a PM anyway in hope.

That was fast.
Pretty serious bug, too:
Powerslavers aren't showing up in my science labs. Neither are Lightning Starships or Translocator Starships.
Neinzul Combat Carriers do show up on the starship tab, however.
Ah, quite right, sorry about that.  Fixed for 7.038; I'll get that out later today after I take care of some other stuff, in case other obvious gotchas become obvious in that time :)

I'm honestly baffled that the behavior of the dropdown would have changed, as all that changed is the number of items in the list (went up by 8).

For diagnostic purposes, what happens if you reduce that number back down by, for example, temporarily disabling TZR and CoN?

Well, after some alt-tab back to it and before trying that suggestion, the mouse wheel isn't working on the AI types list, and click-dragging the bar to scroll acts normally. Is the mouse wheel supposed to work there in the first place?

"GUI elements behave like cantankerous old man on porch with shotgun"

"Working as designed / Known Behavior"

;)

We do need to get to that, but not for 8.0.

As a sidenote for the future, while theres still plenty of title screen space left for expansions, on my 1600x900 screen, theres no more space for expansion enable/disable buttons in the lobby, #6 takes the last space left under VotM.

Yea, I know we'll have to do something else there.

And on the title screen on 768 high it actually is partly under the tips box.

Humorous problems to have.

Neinzul Combat Carriers + Lightning Torpedo Frigates + Neinzul Enclave Starships = Mountains of cheese
It's amazing what swarms of drones do to the AI. NCCs might need a nerf with how well they synergize with the regular Enclave Starships.
Also, Nomad planets are amazing. I can't wait to see one with a Raid Engine. Or better yet, a homeworld/core world.

I like swarms of drones (and this new NCC is certainly not the old one, it is pretty awesome), but the problem with swarms of drones is they don't show up if theres no one to fight ;)

Enclave SS + NCC = Swarms of Drones.
Swarms of Drones + Mime = Silly reprisal waves.

A level 2 reprisal wave produced about 2000 ships to my Homeworld, and I did nothing but laugh - because the reprisal wave was 1900 drones + 100 fighters.
My Grav Turrets had the highest kill ratio of anything in that game.

Hahaha, I hadn't thought of Mime + Drones...

Just started playing around.. is there some message that informs us that nomads moved?

Also.. it's a new experience when all the numbers are so small :D
