I use almost all of them.  Not necessarily descriptions, but I enjoy reading those in 'down time' (which I gather will decrease greatly once I actually buy Ancient Shadows...that vessel seems a bit imba  :D).  I really don't have very many immunities memorized (was surprised to learn that Zenith Bombards were not immune to Insta-Kill, and that's one I particularly look out for), and that is possibly the most important part of any engagement. 
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.

Thanks for the votes guys, this'll help steer my tooltip design as to what fits in the core bit (and what gets pushed to foldouts).
