AI War Wiki Updates Cont'd

Alright.

Now that the wiki can be updated again, I've resumed working on the unit detail pages.

However, is there some way of determining the file name of the sprite used in game for a specific unit? I'm drawing a blank on the following unit pictures:

Infiltrator Guardian
MLRS Guardian
Munitions Booster Guardian
Needler Guardian
Plasma Guardian
Shield Guardian
Widow Guardian

Note that as these are later additions, I suspect they reuse the same picture as another unit but I'm not sure.

Also, on the Implosion units, the Ammo Type is Implosion 5%, but the Attack Damage is 10. Does this mean that the damage on Normal combat type is 10% per shot? (5% on Epic combat doubled?)

Anyone know for sure?

Isn't it just 10 damage on top of the 5% implosion?  There needs to be a little bit of flat damage or they'd be completely unable to ever destroy anything.

Spire Corvette doesn't have right image, its DPS is wrong due to using 1 sec reload instead of Spire beam's 3, no stat for mkV...

Also Implosion artillery 10 damage thing I think is to make it so that the ship is counted as military ship (if I remember correctly, someone said that the difference between military and nonmilitary ships are the fact that the former have guns, however weak they are)...

The ship file name of ones you listed ar all 1.png and they're in separate folder for each ship in the Expansions/(expansion number)/Images/Ships folder...

Really? The numbers lined up in the data files so I though it was all percentages.

@onyhow: Yes, that is the Riot Starship picture on the Spire Corvette page, add that to the list of pictures I could not find in my first post I guess.

I don't think the Spire Corvette has a Mark V though does it? None of the other starships do.

The gmae doesn't store the image names, iirc, so I'm not sure the export can actually tell you the texture file names.  Though maybe it can.  Anyway, I believe all of the ones you named have unique textures but they're expansion-based (specifically, expansion 5 for that list) so won't be found with the others.

Alright. Implosion damage is not affected by combat style then and I can take the "Implosion 5.55%" in the Ammo Type field to mean that each shot does damage equal to 5% of the units remaining health?

On the pictures, I'll take another look at my data files, maybe my search just failed me last night.

Hadn't thought of that, but no, I'd figure it stayed the same, though I thought there was some r-o-f difference between Epic and Normal but that wouldn't work quite right for a number of things anyway.

It's telling you 5.55%?  That sounds odd... I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 5%.  But if if's telling you 5.55% in-game there's a good chance that's the actual exact value it's using.

The data files may not tell you, but if you look in RuntimeData/Expansions/5/Images/Ships/ there should be a chunk of them for the new guardians.

I uploaded the Spire Corvette image, should I just go and upload the rest on this list? EDIT: Done., you don't have to worry about those images, they are indeed in expansion 5.

 Separately, what should be done about informing the player about ships that require a certain expansion? There are currently no wiki-information on these for bonus ship types, and now for guardians as well. I suppose we could insert {{reqExpansion}} somewhere on each page, or we could just include it is a list somewhere. Not important, but anyway..

Not alphabetical in the data files so I missed them. :/

I'm not sure about listing which units for which expansion because I'm not actually sure on a lot of them.

I'm thinking probably on the Unit types page, the one you get on game start where you can disable ship types. Some sort of list there?

Oh, then yes.

Every unit will end up on the wiki, but I'm starting with what is there and checking off rows in the data file as I go.

Once I finish redoing the pages on the wiki I will then start adding the pages for any units left over.

(I was going to do some of these but ended up getting sidetracked, lol)

New VotM ships and structures
  • Core Turrets (on the other hand these are just HP and damage * 5, so I dunno if they're needed)
  • Youngling Shrike is missing its stats
  • Dire Guardians, the Railpod and Zevastator are already done
