A question! If I buy the bundle, will the beta work with my Steam release? And how will it be incorporated into Steam after the official release?

Also, are the keys individual? Might wanna gift a few to a friend.

Just install it into the same folder as your steam install and it should work fine.

After previous misunderstandings I have a personal policy of never answering that question ;)  But I will ask Chris if someone can answer that here.

I honestly have no idea, I'll ask.

If it works like other bundles I've seen, you'll be directed to a page where a key is listed for each individual product.  You can then use activate a product on steam and enter the key to have it added to your library, or someone else can do the same if you send them the key.

Anyone who preorders directly through us can email us for a steam key once the expansion arrives on Steam later in the month.

About the soundtracks
« Reply #20 on: June 07, 2013, 01:20:02 pm »
I bought the soundtrack tier as I've always appreciated Pablo's music as much as the games... but I have to say the distribution is a bit weird and slightly disappointing.

All are MP3s :(

AVWW1&2 are 192kps
Ancient Shadows is 192kps
Children of Neinzul is 320kps
AI War base is 320kps
Light of the Spire is 320kps
Zenith Remnant is 320kps
Shattered Haven is 192kps
Tidalis is 320kps

It's a shame that we weren't offered FLACs (the Disasterpeace album is offered as both MP3 and FLAC), but what really puzzles me is why some of the soundtracks are only 192kps. Any particular reason? It's a shame not to be able to enjoy the music in higher quality sound... ;)

It isn't difficult.

If you buy the game through the Arcen store, then when it goes to Steam in a month, email Chris and he'll give you a Steam key.

I paid £7, but don't know where the soundtracks are. D;

I get around this problem by having poor enough hearing to not be able to tell the difference anyway.

FYI, here's Chris's response on the VotM steam key thing (edit, and the gifting thing) : http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,13320.0.html

They are linked in the final sentence of the paragraph titled "Thanks for your generosity". It's a single zip file containing all the soundtracks.

I asked about the sound quality.

Odd on the mp3 thing, as all the in-game tracks are ogg.

Thanks, Keith. It's very strange how inconsistent the treatment has been.
Of course this is a minor niggle in the grand scheme of things - the bundle as a whole is incredible :)

Yup, I spent £7 on the latest expansion pack since I had all the other games.

Mostly because I bought some of the games when they were on sale, so spending 200% on the newest one seemed fair. :P
