AI War on Sale at Matrix Games

I see Matrix games is now selling the "AI War Bundle" with the base game and 3 expansions.  They have it on sale too.

Being a longtime wargamer - I think this was a good move- that should over time pickup a lot of new players with a hardcore strategy interest.

Indeed -- we've wanted to work with Matrix for a long time, but we're just now finally hitting the point where that's becoming a reality for AI War.  Pretty awesome, though!

A lot of good stuff on this site, but do they ever need an user interface designer. One of the worst game portals.

1) Click-through to find prices
2) not clear about how many downloads, activations, and DRM on the product pages
3) PBEM?
4) Click-through to find graphics. I don't judge game based upon graphics, but it does help me figure out if I'm going to be playing one of those hex wargames.
5) really short descriptions that do not summarize gameplay
6) user reviews and links to other reviews are woefully missing for many games

Wish I could buy AI war from an actual game store here in the netherlands. Really wanna get my hands on a copy I can actually touch and keep, in case Steam goes bankrupt in 10 years or something.

Even if steam goes out, or Arcen did, as long as you have your cd keys for the game you'll always have the game. Even steam provides those, so you've got security all around!

AI War is a special case because you can download the game right form here, but I've had some pretty bad experiences with Matrix in the past. I love war games, but some of their stuff has some pretty bonkers DRM and they only put your download links up for a set period of time. The games I've bought from them, I've requested on physical media just for that reason.
