Now 7.056 is out.  This one fixes the context menus error: http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=15633

When you have "ships I can build" filter on in Reference. It will list Decoy Drone and Translocator as buildable even when you don't own or unlocked them.

Furthermore "Ships I can build or upgrade to" list Decoy Drone, Translocator, and Speed Booster but in my game I can't build or upgrade to those either.

I have not unlock anything extra other than mark 2-3 starships (Bonus ship is Neinzul Combat Carrier) and nothing else.

I'm not seeing the available updates (I'm on .054).  I restarted the game 3 times and ran the updater by itself, no dice.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

Same problem I have the STEAM version and since its official I got it to update that way, but when I tried to use the in game updater my update launcher launched it said ok but just sat there and never updated it never said ok on the zip file either.

Edit: I also tried this on a demo version download from the store and even when I tried to delete the old updater .exe same thing stuck on version 7.054.

I pinged Keith and he said he would let x4000 know about the issue.

Well... something really odd happened with that file, I'm not sure what to say.  It somehow reverted to an older one on the server -- I thought I must be crazy, maybe I had made some mistake in uploading it.  That would be the most likely thing, right?  So I downloaded the offending file, fixed it, and reuploaded it.  But the date still said a last updated date of... 8/2...  That didn't make any sense at all.

So I downloaded it again, and it was back the way it was before I made the change not a minute or two before.  Only having 7052 and 7053 in there, not even 7054, let alone 7055.  After that, it moves to Amazon S3, thankfully.

So this time I deleted the existing file first, then did a fresh upload, and it now seems to have taken.  I don't know what the deal was.  It does show the correct thing here now, no caching, so you should be able to get onto 7.055 and then from there jump to the latest: http://www.arcengames.com/dl/AIWarBetaUpdates3.xml

Thanks!

Ok.  Patched to .055 just fine.  .056 is acting like it was yesterday with the invalid file stuff.  I can't even open the update with 7-zip.

Going to try to directly dl the update.

Edit: http://www.arcengames.com/dl/AIWarBetaUpdates3.xml
.056 isn't on the list for a direct dl.

Sigh, 7.056 was my bad.  That was just simply a case of "how many errors can Chris make today@?" ;)

And now it works :)

We all have off days ;)

I'll check the fix in .055 in a few minutes.

Very excellent. :)

If anyone has any comments about textboxes behaving or not in the latest, that would be great -- particularly those previously affected by them.

Didn't have a fix for something I reported so I'm not entirely sure what was wrong and fixed??

I try not to comment on stuff and I don't have any ideas on what was wrong with the context menus.

I meant whether or not the update actually happened properly :)  What you said earlier seemed to imply so, but I wasn't trusting implications when the update process has managed to fail for some players for (iirc) most of the last 8 updates.

Anyway, sounds like it's on better footing now :)
