I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug, but I have found an 'interesting' issue with post-hacking responses. Specifically, if you kill the command station right after you are done, it COMPLETELY NEGATES said response. Nothing will appear on the planet and normal countdown that shows in the top left of the screen will just vanish. It doesn't need to happen exactly after you are done hacking, given you some time, but it can be used to negate a particularly deadly post-hacking response entirely. Now, as I said I am not sure if this is a bug, because it does cost you either 15 or 20 AIP, depending on if the warp gate is still around, so its not entirely without cost. However, I would definitely say it's an exploit that should be fixed.
I got half-way through changing it to retain the post-response if the station wasn't there, but turns out there's a good reason for it being the way it is: who exactly is supposed to respond to the hack, if not the owner of the planet?

I think it's basically a case of "pay 20 AIP to negate post-hacking response".

Ok, makes some sense that way. I will say that for an FS game though, its a cheesy trick. I hack many things that I would not normally hack, because its something I don't want to lose if, or more likely when, the exos make it through my choke.

Oh, that is a delightfully sneaky way to cancel a post-hack response.  Useless in a lot of cases, since most of the hacks are aimed at systems you DON'T want to take, but a neat trick.

I see some filter updates coming in 7.045, which all sound amazing; any chance of a Roaming Enclave filter with counts color-coded by loyalty? Heck, even just a broad filter for Roaming Enclaves would help.  Also, while I'm on the topic, the tooltips for the Younglings produced by human-ally Roaming Enclaves should maybe mention that they're unusually strong (for a youngling of that type and mark).

I'm trying to hold off on adding new filters until we've got the existing set under some kind of control.  It's a horrendous mess right now :)

Not to sound ungrateful, but why are the AI Z reprocessors able to get salvage for even reclaim immune stuff? Coding complexities? Also, what is the rate for it? Same as the metal reclaim rate it is when in human hands?

I didn't want to add more special cases, etc.

Also, it only applies for the AI if it lands the killing hit with a z-reproc, since that's when salvage is determined, all or nothing.  The only particularly feasible alternative is to just go back to having AI z-reprocs just be normal combat units.

Ah, makes sense, I can imagine the reclaim on death logic is already rather complicated as it is. ;)

To put it mildly ;)

It's easier since I pulled all the "causes of death" to at least all feed into the same method rather than just being all over the place, but it's still pretty complex.
