Command Stations

I couldn't find where the bug report thing was in 2 seconds and I almost didn't bother from the horrible Captcha this site has..
Anyway, most recent beta patch as of this post

Goodness, never seen anything like that, thanks for letting me know.  Can you attach that save?  I'm not sure how I'd reproduce the bug myself as it appears to be either rare or associated with a specific sort of lobby setup.

And now you know how I feel about why I am unable to get a ? into a database properly.

Our client manages to copy it out of Word, pastes it into a rich text editor, and SOMEHOW managed to make it submit data to the database that the submit form cannot handle (that is, extra unrecognized characters that can't be AJAX'ed).  In so doing the field becomes forever uneditable (except by logging into the database server and fiddling the SQL directly).

They've done it at least twice now and I can't reproduce.

This was tricky to produce, but every time I did get it to happen it was from the command build menu, CMD tab, and Alt-left clicking. I could only get it to happen the first time per planet from a military station, but once the glitch happens, it will keep happening.

Here's a couple of saves. Exp is the situation before the glitch occurred (go to the non-homeworld, select the command station, CMD, econI, alt-left click), Crazy is after some fiddling.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, class homework and all that
Although it looks like you guys got it covered.  I was able to do it with the economy one from the getgo (colony ship, i was in the habit of holding ctrl and i clicked) on multiple planets, figured the entire thing was broken somehow from the recent patches.  I was then able to do it from an existing command station on other worlds too

If you want me to upload my save still just let me know

No problem :)  And yep, got it taken care of for the next version.  There's a straightforward flag in the code for preventing multi-place, it just wasn't applied to the command station types (wasn't necessary in the past, but I think I uncovered an edge case with the recent changes to the on-death logic).

It used to be that doing a multi-place command with a Colony Ship or CMD menu item would simply cause the originating object to disappear.  Accidentally deleted my own command station a time or two, before I remembered to let go of the ALT key.  Glad to see this one fixed.

I was more disappointed that multiple Mil III stations didn't stack the attack bonus when I tried it.
