Pretty bad bug here:

Auto-load causes UnhandledErrors, followed by a Waiting For Players message, and then the game freezes.

Try autoloading the ten starships on Clockwork into the transport via autoload.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Thanks, taking a look.

Update: 6.023 hotfix to fix an unhandled-errors bug in the last version with auto-load.

And make a couple more nice changes, to human Raids and the MRS. Thanks!

What's this "Network +1" thing right by my ship summaries? It appeared when I updated to 6.023.

Oh, that shows up if you accidentally hit shift and + at once, I think.  Basically it's "network skip" instead of the normal +'s "frame skip".  I think hitting shift and - should bring it back to normal, though I may have misremembered the keybinds.

So why doesn't the AI versions of the higher mark raid starships also come with those buffs?
Isn't the whole point of them is that they are the exact same ship with the sole exception being the AI versions get half max HP?

For example, IMO, If cloaked raids are too terrifying in AI hands, they are also too strong for human hands.

Because you would die.

Your home command station is not protected by a galaxy of strategic depth, 8 core guard posts, a strategic reserve, the special forces, and counter-mini-exos.  Nor does it have a redundant backup.

An AI Raid Mk IV would mean a human loss in a mere 12 seconds for the even slightly unprepared player.  The AI, on the other hand, has invicibility sources and redundant homeworlds.
Really - Cloaking, FF-immune, Grav-immune, Missile-immune, radar-damping, 90,000 armor AI units that spawn for free on Mk IV worlds or when hacking?  That'd be Game Over right there.

No. This is an assymetrical game; the ability to raid is much more powerful in the hands of the AI than humans, mainly because the AI's strength is not dependent on a widespread collection of fragile, irreplaceable structures. And Home Command isn't protected by 2 layers of invincibility.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

That's what I am saying. If they are an ubalanced crazy OP terror in AI hands, they are an OP tool in human hands (maybe not unbalanced, crazy OP, but OP nonetheless).

I have historically liked that for the majority of the stuff encountered, they are balanced the same despite the fact that the AI has much, much more tools at its disposal for production and very different sources of where it gets its stuff. In fact, I was opposed to the original AI and human raid starship split in the first place, but didn't raise too much of a stink about it because their only difference was a known, fixed ratio of difference in only one stat (max HP) that didn't really change up how the unit does its job.

True. But (historically at least), by far most of the ships in the game, even raid focused ones, were balanced like the two sides were symmetrical. (Again, exception to the HP thing, which I commented my begrudging acceptance of on previously in this message)

I liked that, it makes it feel that we had mostly the same tools, but we humans just have to fight that much smarter to overcome the fact they get more instances of them.

And no, don't give me a list of base-game structures that have an AI/human split. I know of them, and I can probably list them as well. I don't think it invalidates my point, as they are the major exceptions, rather than the rule. Also, none of these exception are mobile in the sense that they can traverse wormholes. (Golem's don't count, as they are not base game)

If the AI had access to the cloaker-starship+transport+warhead combo, you'd feel it :)

I guess is what I am saying is that I don't want higher mark AI raids buffed, but rather I think human raids (well, the Mk. III cloaking at least) were overbuffed.

I still don't see myself unlocking these most games.

But they're a reasonable option in some situations now, and that's what a k unlock should be.
