No. This is an assymetrical game; the ability to raid is much more powerful in the hands of the AI than humans, mainly because the AI's strength is not dependent on a widespread collection of fragile, irreplaceable structures. And Home Command isn't protected by 2 layers of invincibility.
True. But (historically at least), by far most of the ships in the game, even raid focused ones, were balanced like the two sides were symmetrical. (Again, exception to the HP thing, which I commented my begrudging acceptance of on previously in this message)
I liked that, it makes it feel that we had mostly the same tools, but we humans just have to fight that much smarter to overcome the fact they get more instances of them.
And no, don't give me a list of base-game structures that have an AI/human split. I know of them, and I can probably list them as well. I don't think it invalidates my point, as they are the major exceptions, rather than the rule. Also, none of these exception are mobile in the sense that they can traverse wormholes. (Golem's don't count, as they are not base game)
