Visual Response Rate

Something I noticed about the UI is that the resources only update ~once per second. It's getting on my nerves just a touch =p I went ahead and made a suggestion about it
Avid League player and apparently back from the dead!

If we weren't going for your money, you wouldn't have gotten as much value for it!

During my work on the automatic conversion thing they were actually updating every single frame but this is extremely visually disconcerting, trust me ;)

There has to be a middle ground, I know SupCom had a lot smoother =p

Or does it have to do with resources being periodically deposited or something?

Income is per-second.  Some expenditures are per-second.  Some expenditures are per-frame.

But now resource auto-conversion is per-frame, so that breaks the old assumption that income is per-second.  All the code that was actually tracking the resource flows and how to display them is from before my time, so it's a bit of a wrestling match ;)

I'd have put more effort into getting it just right, but it appeared likely at that particular moment that crystal would become something else and autoconversion would no longer be necessary, and I could go back to the simpler model.

Now that's looking unlikely, so I'll have to figure something out.

Even if it's a purely UI thing where you code some sort of behavior to make it look pretty to the player, I'd be happy =p But yeah, that sounds kind of odd and in need of rectifying.
