New enclaves sounds great, hopefully paving the way for more things not directly controlled while still being helpful.
The human resistance and dyson gatlings in the base game and TZR can be incredibly helpful; I've seen them hold down most of a 10/10 defensive line by themselves, if the setup is right :)

Dysonball (TM) FTW!

Changes look good Keith, thanks.

Is it intentional that:

- The champion modules are vulnerable to EMP.
- The Camouflager AI is a total pain to deal with because it can just randomly decide to hide a small number of units on your planets that cannot be dislodged until they decide to attack (which won't happen until a large AI wave enters the planet) so the attack indicators are permanently stuck on showing some planets as being under attack. It even hid over 100 armor ships on one of my planets.
- The Camouflager can hide Core Sentinel Guard Posts. Considering it seems unable to hide guardians or starships that seems very odd.

Update: 6.009 hotfix to fix a really longstanding (probably pre-5.0) but rare desync-on-load bug.  Kinda funny it popped up just now, but hey.

I kinda wonder how long that carrier one has been around tbh. Has just nobody noticed it since carriers were introduced with unity?

There was another rule I added during this year that made it so carriers would not "naturally" deploy less than 3 seconds from the last carrier deployment, thus stretching the window in which you can save and have this problem when you load (because it doesn't save the delay-until-next-deployment).  So while the root bug is quite old, the circumstances in which it can manifest were made much more likely in the last 9 month or so.

But yea, crazy that it was dormant so long.

I think Keith is basically Alpha, Omega, and QA here.

And you will like it! ;)

Actually I did like 10x the normal amount of testing on 6.007 so I could follow the enclave logic in a bunch of different cases to make sure it didn't crash or do anything terribly stupid, but there was one case that slipped through the cracks and had that null exception.  The second hotfix was for something way older and normally I don't hotfix stuff that wasn't introduced in that release, but that bug was stopping progress on an active game, so may as well get the fix out.

But yea, the community-based QA is part of how we get stuff out so quickly.  Interestingly we still tend to have more stable beta releases than many games' first official releases, but that may not be saying very much our side of that comparison.

Oh trust me, I know exactly how nice community QA is - I did in-depth modding of Skyrim (not simple toolset stuff, I dealt directly with the file data with external programming).  I typically did beta releases and often-times had hotfixes.

No excuses needed, I just wanted to give keith a hard time 'cause I think he deserved it on the holidays. :P

I just rolled one in my current coop game, hope this gets fixed fast :D
Second one if a Fortress Baron, already 2 Superforts 2 hops away where we have to go through on MK IV planets. Fun :)

As a quick question, I'm doing the Neinzul Mourner Wardens nebula scenario. Is it intentional that the starbase does not repair / construct modules like the starbases in other scenarios?

Since it's a small starbase instead of a large one, yes.  I'd planned to change it to a large one but decided against it as I'd need to rebalance the whole scenario due to how much more buff the thing would be.
