AI War's AI is probably closer to Stanislaw Lem's than Isaac Asimov's. The Indiots asked a computer to solve their problem of entering a post-scarcity era in a way consistent with their strongly pro-capitalist ideals and in an aesthetically pleasing fashion, the computer's solution was to buy all the goods, use them to lure the Indiots into processing plants and process their corpses into art.

Showing the real law you have to pay attention to: never give a computer vague instructions.

Now, if a "dead" champion's shadow capacitor charge is lower than 100, it does not respawn until the charge reaches 100.

So a max of a 20 second delay with 0 shadow power at death?

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

Give or take a couple seconds due to how things are checked, yea.

Sounds reasonable to me :)

So, if it had 100 or more charge on death, it would respawn instantly, but then right after the respawn, it would lose all charge and go to 0,
and if it was <100 charge on death, you would have to wait for that player to charge to 100, then it will respawn, then it will go down to 0?

Asimov's robots had to solve the hyperspace problem in the same way.  Most of the positronic brains asked about FTL travel committed suicide, as the transition to hyperspace would kill a human being.

So they built another brain and rephrased the question.

All they were interested in was if the ship would be intact when it got back to normal space.
