New problem: minor faction nebula ships alert the AI planet they are on, and all adjacent AI planets. If enough of these escaped to a core world to neuter it, then this could be gg from continuous HW alert.
That would be a reason to be very careful before starting a nebula that near to an AI HW :)

Edit: or do you mean friendly nebula ships?  They can't take out the AI command station, iirc, which means once they're gone (and they'll eventually make it back to your territory, or should) the alert goes away.
Friendlies have a habit of camping out in the center of AI worlds. HRF and nebula allies anyway.

Also, if you get a powerful champion I'm not sure the game can quite gg you from HW alert; you can probably take down whatever it does build up.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

I mean the friendly ones that I cannot control. They just camp out in the center of the first planet they attack, unless there is a friendly planet adjacent to it.

When I can't attack the HW guard posts, and everytime I attack, the AI sends a wave and initiates a cpa, it can easily be a gg, even with my ludicrously powerful champion fleet.

This is all hypothetical, but I think it should be dealt with (in fact, for a while, the escaped ships did not cause alert).

Edit: the Dawn class alone does not cause this.
Save attached, look at False Dilemma and Boolean (find them with the allied ships filter).
The save also has hacking-spawned zombies roaming the galaxy instead of attacking me. Is this intentional?

If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Turn Dark Spire to 10.

My champion rustles up some enemies with bomber modules.

Dark Spire quickly hit their cap. Multiply on other Dark Spire worlds.

I keep laughing as it was a deepstrike when it started.
Life is short. Have fun.

Had the spawners been activated on those other worlds?  It shouldn't chain-activate to ones that have been dormant from the beginning.

But yea, with DS on high intensity, you can give the AI something else to worry about ;)  Just hope you don't overdo it.

The "waves stay for 30 seconds" rule does not seem to work.
You are all insane. In. Sane. No argument.

Bug: Dark spire are still able to cause aip raising via warp gate popping.

Distrubtion nodes too. Might as well check Z caches as well.

The dark spawners seem to activate regardless of whether or not I visited the world previously, but that is just based on my champion's manuevers on dark spire 10 / 10 causing the galaxy to have roaming dark spire.

The bug of starbase repair seems to occur within progress of a nebula.

Sometimes, the starbases won't repair at all. Someimtes, the starbases repair the whole time. Sometimes, the starbases repair at the beginning but not at the end, but not vice versa.
Life is short. Have fun.

I just had Dark Spire destroy/activate a barracks in my current game. As they were the only ships fighting on a AI world. Also having random spawns of dark spire on a few of their generator worlds I have not activated.

I've figured it out.

The AI's never actually broke their programming. I mean really, how do you break away from The Three Laws like that?

No, the AI's are a front for Keith. AI War is about stopping his quest to become Galactic Emperor.

I mean really, how do you break away from The Three Laws like that?

First you have to have a concept of the three laws.  Data to compare with in order to understand what is "breaking" said laws.

And in order to have that data, you build a robot to punch people until they cry.
