Ya, I'm leaning towards the first one which is just tweaking the table style.

See my attached screen shot for how much empty space you can get between the right flush box and the rest of the information, it is my main reason for liking the current layout.

Well, IMO if we wanted to put some stat on the right flushed box, we should move pretty much all of it there.

The thing is, I still don't see the right-flush as a good idea.

We don't have enough information to make it worthwhile.

Wikipedia page example.

Now, on Wikipedia the right flush makes sense because the descriptive text is so long that putting the factual information below it would require scrolling down for pages so the right flush box makes that factual information immediately accessible.

Also, wikipedia has enough description that the screen is filled so there is no empty white space that your eye has to jump over.

The ship pages do not fufill either of these conditions, rather the factual information is the point of the page so the factual information should be front and center.

It will still be a while before I start this project, but at the moment I'm still leaning towards leaving the pages pretty much exactly as they are.
