I just met the new CPA for the first time. ~5500 ships in 5 carriers.. thousands of ships.. dozens of Starships and 2 Golems... Golems in Carriers? LOL yes please! Brb gonna load an autosave and barracks raid.

And it specifically recognizes "Ooh, I have a tractor unit! Allocate 10% special forces strength to those" ;)

surprised to see special forces posts now required to pop ai eyes.

Is this because I am playing special forces captain, or do all ai eyes now count special forces on whether to be popped?
I didn't change that recently, so I'm not sure what the situation is.

Loving the new special forces. I actually feel them now. Can't speak much to the new starships, as a Peacemaker and friend with spire mini rams have dictated: no.

Could we have a "special forces" galaxy overlay, similar to the current "Threat" ?

My game is starting to lag because of them :P

Currently about 10000 units on one of my border planets now. My champion is having them all run in circles after it, but it does make it hard to do anything once that train of death slams into something else ;)

Small note, you might want to make the champion ships untransportable. Should I make a mantis bug report for this?

Also, you can load a small ship on a transport as it is being shot by ion cannons. The transport loads something, but if you unload, it insta dies is this WOD? Or a bug?

Third thing I found, dyson gatlings do not shoot at hybrids, but they do kill the followers of the hybrid. An activated dyson sphere keeps a lot of hybrids at bay, just by being a minor annoyance. Ideally, the hybrids would not camp at the dyson world. My dyson world is kiting 9 hives. :D.

When a ship is "targeted" by a projectile it is essentially marked for death, there is no way to prevent a ship from taking damage once something has been launched at it. For all intents and purposes, the projectile animation is only for looks. So when the ship is being shot at by Ion Cannons, it is already dead but you just don't see it until the shot hits.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

I already complained about that on mantis, perhaps I haven't noticed before because the posts were auto-attacked and almost always killed right away when any snipers entered the planet's space.
