Update: 5.075 hotfix is out to fix an array-index-out-of-bounds error in what I did to the AI reinforcements logic.  Also made the focused-reinforcements logic apply to initial ship seeding, which should make at least one player happy.

Hi Keith, just another food for thought:

Give the exo speed cheats only for special forces captains. Would make them unique and help make them worthy of the "hard" difficulty they currently give.

I for one will disagree with that one. I never have cared one bit for achievements. It's a fluff idea that should have been put to the torch before it became mainstream  ::)

What about in 4.000 somewhere (too lazy to search through all of the patches.. but it was somewhere in 3.1xx)

"enabled hybrid hives"? That was certainly really fun for me as a player.

More ambivalent about the focused type change, but we'll see..

*waits to see bug report showing 300 blade spawners camping an AI chokepoint.*

Edit: I'd suggest that this not apply to AI HW and Core Worlds if it does. They have several mark-V unlocks for a reason. ^^

Come to think of it, how can this actually work?  What happens when AI 1 tries to reinforce Murdoch and rolls its primary ship type, but Murdoch's primary ship type is only available to AI 2?

What in the name of... OS Raid Engine? That sounds like some kind of testing/development artifact.
Unless doom AIs are now allowed to have invisible raid engines that activate whenever they feel like.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

That is the special forces staging ground. They're going to race to the defence of the next high priority planet you attack ;)
