That sounds simultaneously fun and painful. Diff 10, in other words. I have never played against Scorched Earth, interested to hear how that one goes.

Yes, I believe when I destroy a command station it nukes the planet so no supply to build.

No extra AIP beyond the normal however thankfully.

The starship game is in limbo, the AS beta came out and I've been playing with that instead.

I'll AAR this one with the scorched earth if I actually make any sort of progress, will be on the weekend if I do decide to put it up.

I thought Scorched Earth didn't eliminate resource or supply points.

the whole point of scorched earth is the removing resources - If I cant have it, my enemy cant have it either.

Well, double Scorched Earth challenge anyone? ;)

Oh. And I ate all the thin minds. That's why all the good tactical minds are ready to fight off the AI. I left them alive. My force fields are overcharged.

I actually contemplated a double Scorched Earth back before the CSGs were added, on an 80 planet map too.

Would have been interesting to say the least.

So far, have not conquered any planets so the Scorched Earth has not struck, but it's coming.

Also got unlucky on nebula wormholes. One was a single hop out, the rest are all 5 hops or more.  :(

At least I got the Neinzul Fortress, that's going up as soon as I grab my second system.

There's a planetary cloak and a black hole machine in the way though.  ???

This is going to be a ride, look for and AAR to go up on the weekend.

All 8 human player slots get all new champion-hull and new-module-line scenario rewards, whether they have a champion at the time or not, so if they add one later they have them.

But it only announces it for players with a champion at the time, to avoid spam.

Really?  Hmm, it should be there.  I'll run a quick test.
Ok, I just:

1) loaded a save from just before winning a scenario
2) used manage-players to add a Role:Champion player and hit save to trigger the add
3) used manage-players to mark the Role:Champion player as disabled and hit save to get the game started again (otherwise it waits for a real player to actually connect to that slot)
4) won the scenario
5) Ctrl+H to select my champion, Ctrl+M to open the ship design menu, saw the "Neinzul Shadow Frigate" option now in the list of hulls
6) quit out of the ship-design window, Ctrl+H to select the Role:Champion player's champion, Ctrl+M to open the ship design menu, saw the "Neinzul Shadow Frigate" option
7) used manage-players to add a second Role:Champion player and hit save to trigger the add
8 ) used manage-players to mark the second Role:Champion player as disabled and hit save to get the game started again
9) Ctrl+H to select the second Role:Champion player's champion, Ctrl+M to open the ship design menu, saw the "Neinzul Shadow Frigate" option.

Where is your experience diverging?  Or do you mean something else entirely?

Ah, you still have to use ctrl + H for a champion that is not your own, although you changed it so your own personal champion does not have to press ctrl + H, but rather just to click on it. Ok then.

Clicking on the champion to select it won't switch your interface, but pressing Ctrl+M with it selected should do it.  What interface path wasn't working?
