Update: 5.063 hotfix is out because tackle drones were doing friendly-fire damage with their explosions.  A few other fixes in there too :)

You sure it was the booze, and not a loyalty cascade?

The "spinning shuriken" look of the tackle drone icon is kind of evocative of a tantrum spiral.

But no, I'm pretty sure the actual detonation is powered by either beer or a lignite-iron reaction.

Haven't actually seen it yet, but I'm sure that's true!

Hehe, I meant the accidental ally attacking. ;)

Insanity Inducer Module and Translocator Module are the same across all ranks of the modules.

Champions that aren't the player (extra champs) can reclaim ships now, but the energy display doesn't show any power used. Shouldn't this be handled like the Z Reserves?

And didn't really notice this before but [max movement range of the bomber drones+bomber drone range] > [XP collect range].

Ever read something you wrote way late and think wtf? Yeah... Hopefully that little edit makes some sense.

Opened your save. My computer wept. Switched to the ST planet and ship icons filled my screen, so I zoomed out. Game told me that it _was_ totally zoomed out. You could seriously walk from one end of the inner grav well to the other without getting your feet cold.

Whoops, quite right :)

In theory, yes, but in practice I'm wondering just much of a reclamation-only fleet could a champion build up?  Of course, now someone will reclaim everything times 7 ;)

Hmm, yea, that's part of the reason I made them slow (just keeping it from being an uber-long-range weapon in general).  May just need to increase the xp-collect range more.

In my sandbox test run I only grabbed a few hundred ships. Rainbow fleet, GO!
Grabbed a couple of SS to the XP thing (as best as one can) First one is how I had the champs positioned and the second was where I stopped the test (mostly kept an eye on them while I did the Fallen Spire campaign).
FYI, you can not leave them sitting like that indefinitely. They will get overwhelmed.

You can see it isn't much of a range difference but the amount of XP the other champs lost because of positioning is huge.

I had never done the full Fallen Spire campaign. And of course it was my usual set up with 16 HW but it was a sandbox (1/1 AIs). I usually do that with the new additions to get a feel for them and to see if there are any obvious problems.

Speaking of sandbox AIs, I'm wondering if it would be fun to do a AAR with a game against 1/1 AIs, but with something like 100AIP/10 min or something.

I'm sure even 1/1 can be scary when at several thousand AIP. ;)

Given how weak 1/1 starts off at, I would say that rushing would be the most common tactic.

Yea, I'd say take 8 champions and whatever fleet you can build, find and pop the CSGs, then find and pop the homeworlds.

How about a game where at the start, before you leave your first (and only) homeworld, you set off a mark III nuke to destroy the entire galaxy. Your mission? Finish off the AI after that. 1/1 difficulty, of course.
Edit: You will be allowed to make any preparation you need, so long as you don't leave your home planet before you set off a doomsday device.
