I would say if anything a single wave should be generated, through the same mechanics as a current wave, with possibly a very short warning. It gives you a sort of downtime (the ship may need to be redirected to serve as emergency defense), but does not permanently inhibit you for a minor misstep (say, accidentally forgetting about your heroship while its busy in a nebula)

Btw, are there plans to somehow apply the auto-group logic to your heroship? Or is it designed more to use the hero-hotkey instead?

Related to the Spire modules - My Spire Fleet (100 ships, all with modules) entered a system with a Parasite Eye and about 250 AI ships.  The Eye immediately activated, and said I had 500+ too many ships in the system.  My guess is that the modules are now being counted as individual ships?  Or something.
They've been counted that way for a long time :)
Really?  I knew they show up on the galaxy map as individual ships, but I didn't realize they triggered the Eye that way.  Wow, somehow in all my games, I never noticed?  I feel silly now.

Got it.  Here's a save about 10 seconds from the Signal Survey finish.  When it finishes, the signal should appear on the system "Stargate Command", next to the system Men (a Homeworld in the middle).  The journal entry appears correctly.  Sometimes "Signal on Starfleet Command" will briefly appear in the alerts window in the upper left of the screen.  But the signal itself doesn't appear in the system.


EDIT:  After some messing around, I tried clearing out the system in question first.  When I kill all the AI ships there, the signal appears correctly.  I guess the problem has to do with the large number of ships already there (Almost over 9000!)

A-ha! That's probably it: running into the hard limit of how many non-player ships it lets on a planet.  There are various exceptions to the rule (hybrids, exo stuff, avengers, etc) but evidently the signals had not been made one of them :)

At least, that's my guess, we'll see.

EDIT:  I just noticed, my "Give" button is flickering on/off a lot as the game runs, even though there are no other players.  Couldn't see any errors reported about it in the logs, though.
I've been seeing Give-flicker for... I don't remember not seeing it :)  Not sure what might be causing it.

I think I found the cause of this: 9218: Give button "flashes" when a ship of the player changes planets, even if that ship has nothing to do with your current selection

However, some attacks (that don't have FF immunity) seem to ignore the Shadow Destroyers Shield.

Notably Sentinel Frigates, they are doing hull damage with my shield still up above 80%.

I see nothing in the descriptions or immunities that would explain this.

Ideas?
Plasma Siege Cannons would do that (which the biggest of the Dark Spire nebula ships use).  I don't know why a sentinel frigate would, do you have a save of that?

Although they are free and highly durable do NOT use Shadow ships as scouts...

Update: 5.060 hotfix is out to fix a variety of bugs (some recent, some longstanding.  Nothing critical, but some moderately severe (for Fallen Spire particularly) wanted to get these out before starting on any bigger chunks.

Yeah, the Raid Engine I set off barely registered on the threat-o-meter. The 1000 ship CPA that got announced after I finally cleared the threat out doesn't sound very dangerous in comparison either.

"Opening the ship design window by clicking the CTRLS button and then the Ship-Design tab now tries to enable the "Apply To Ship(s)" button (which is now called "Apply To Selection" to be clearer). Previously it would only try to do this if opened through the context menu "View Ship Modules" or Ctrl+M."

Thanks for this especially   :D  It really has a good feel now, and definitely less frustrating for me at least.
