As a person who's playing against The Core on a 10/10 game, all I can say is that I'm starting to dislike those buffs.
If you're particularly interested in beating 10/10 you may want to not update until you finish that.
But in general 10/10 is supposed to be such that relatively few players are good enough to even survive (in a non-limburger scenario) to mid-game. Several months ago this was true but for the wrong reason: the opening double-wave required extreme effort (and generally cheese) to survive, but things were quite a bit easier after that. Now the early waves are
way easier, and the challenge goes up from there. So it's possible to get into the game and discover later (but hopefully not too much later) that you're simply out of your league. We don't want people to spend a bunch of hours not realizing they were in over their head, and I don't think that will happen here, but in general if you select "Doom" difficulty, well...
Anyway, in general I'm quite open to adjusting what's been changed or moving it back and changing something else, etc. I've already got the 5.046 release packed up so I'm going to go ahead and push that in a few minutes (didn't do it last night because I wanted to be around in case of breakage, and it's a good thing as our internet was down for a few hours), but it's likely I'll reduce the range on the Core Z Bombard Post still further, etc.
